Finance Director

We are seeking a Finance Director who will drive our financial operations, ensure compliance with international and local regulations, manage treasury functions, and oversee global consolidations. This leadership role is critical for supporting Evomarine’s continued growth and strategic initiatives, including potential financing opportunities with institutions such as EXIM Bank.
Your Challenge:
As the Finance Director for Evomarine, you will be responsible for:
- Statutory Reporting & Compliance
- Lead the preparation, review, and filing of statutory financial statements for all Evomarine entities, including multi-currency consolidations across international locations.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS/FRS101, US GAAP, and local GAAP requirements where applicable.
- Coordinate the statutory audit process, acting as the primary liaison with internal and external auditors.
- Treasury & Planning
- Oversee global cash flow management, including working capital optimization and hedging strategies.
- Manage banking relationships with domestic and international financial institutions, including EXIM Bank.
- Develop and implement strategies for securing credit lines, project financing, and other forms of capital.
- Forecast cash requirements, identify funding opportunities, and guide capital structure decisions.
- Financial Consolidation & Analysis
- Direct the consolidation of financial statements for multiple worldwide locations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership on capital allocation, business performance, and strategic growth opportunities.
- Lead the integration of new entities from M&A activities into consolidated financial reports.
- Technical Accounting & Advisory
- Serve as the internal technical accounting expert on IFRS, FRS101, and US GAAP, advising leadership on complex accounting issues and policy decisions.
- Guide teams on the accounting implications of mergers, acquisitions, and legal entity restructuring, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
- Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Collaborate with Tax, Legal, and HR teams to ensure alignment of global tax strategies and regulatory requirements.
- Support annual tax calculations, filings, and intercompany transfer pricing arrangements.
- Monitor and update corporate governance policies in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) or local internal control frameworks.
- Digital Transformation
- Champion the use of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) to streamline accounting processes, statutory reporting, and treasury operations.
- Enhance data analytics and reporting capabilities to drive efficient decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with operations, procurement, and other corporate departments to ensure cohesive financial strategies.
- Oversee project management of external audits, systems implementations, and other finance-related initiatives.
Your Profile:
- Education: MA/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or controlling, with a strong background in US-based companies and international operations.
- Demonstrated expertise in multi-entity consolidations across multiple regions, ideally in a complex, global environment.
- Proven track record of treasury management, including securing lines of credit and managing banking relationships.
- Certifications (strongly preferred):
- CPA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent accounting qualification.
- CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) for advanced financial analysis, M&A, and strategic planning.
- CTA (Certified Treasury Analyst or Chartered Tax Adviser) to deepen treasury or tax expertise.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, FRS101, and US GAAP; additional familiarity with local GAAP in various jurisdictions is an advantage.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Solid project management skills for handling external audits, mergers/acquisitions, and systems upgrades.
- Soft Skills:

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Language Skills:
- Advanced command of written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus given Evomarine’s global footprint.
