Finance Manager

- Our partner is a fast-growing company, part of an Investment Group from Czech Republic and the 4th largest gambling company in terms of retail market share in Romania with 900+ shops across the whole country, 90% of them being franchised;
- There are three key companies forming the Group, offering retail sports betting, slot machines, online sports betting and casino.
Location: Bucharest
The Finance Manager will cover Accounting, Treasury and Taxes activities for the Group
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and other financial information, showing comparison both against budget and previous year;
- Management of accounting and cost controlling activities;
- Maintain KPI`s, including EBITDA, Savings plan, Working Capital, Cashflow;
- Co-ordinate all internal and external audit procedures and activities;
- Maintain daily control of supervision of the treasury flow for both payments and receivables;
- Maintain control over cash flow on a daily/weekly basis;
- Review and analysis of capital investment proposals;
- Costing and selling process review;
- Involvement with annual budgets;
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations;
- Maintain controls over the recording of fixed asset values and depreciation;
- Undertake any reasonable request of the Company in support of function or objectives consistent or better than budget/forecast throughput, quality and cost performance, volume versus plan, cost per unit, yield against standard;
- Provide operational and financial reports;
- Co-ordination of all relevant finance department issues and developments in relation to software systems;
- Maintain control over cash flow forecasting;
- Ensure the integrity of the inventory records from a financial valuation perspective.
- Maintain controls over the recording of fixed asset values and depreciation.
Requirements & Competencies:
- At least 7 years+ experience in the Finance field within medium size group or multinational environments;
- Senior Experience in working and understanding functions as audit, internal control, controlling, reporting & planning;
- Between 5-7 years at least, experience in a Finance & Accounting Managerial position;
- Senior Leadership experience in accepted accounting practices and principles required – RAS Statutory/ IFRS is a must;
- Strong knowledge of Statutory Tax environment – IFRS tax knowledge is a plus;
- Strong knowledge in working with ERP-s is a plus;
- Advanced Excel skills, with large databases;
- Advanced English;
- Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications and relevant computer applications required;
- University/College degree in a related discipline required – min B.Sc. in Accounting / Finance – nice to have a Master degree in Accounting;
- CECCAR / ACCA / CIMA – completed or in progress - are a plus;
- Project management (LSS or others) is a plus;
- Proven ability to organize and clearly communicate thoughts and ideas;
- Very good interpersonal, motivational, and leadership skills;
- Process-oriented, organized, structured, and detailed;
- Ability to manage uncertainty and to work within difficult contexts;
- Pro-active attitude.
