Job Overview
The Relationship Manager is a role within the Fundraising Team, where they build meaningful relationships with current and prospective financial donors. The team helps ensure vital funds are generated to support the implementation of the projects that aim to improve education and the overall potential of kids in Romania. The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about education, has experience in building long-term relationships and ensuring account retention, renewal and expansion; she/he is able to work in a high performance team, constantly striving for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Represent, enhance, and promote the organization brand positively, professionally, and effectively
- Actively manage an assigned portfolio of major accounts/donors to ensure ongoing relationship building and contract renewal and expansion
- Achieve assigned strategic account/donor objectives
- Establishing strong, long-term account/donor relationships
- Communicate with major accounts/donors on a regular basis, following best practices
- Responding to specific queries and handle problems in a timely and effective manner
- Suggest solutions and innovative ideas to meet donor needs
- Act as the liaison between the account/donor and internal team
- Identifying and approach new potential major accounts/donors with the fundraising team
- Monitor fundraising performance metrics
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports and forecasts
- Input account/donor information, and data capture while ensuring close attention to detail and accurate recording on databases & spreadsheets
- Ensure that all data is handled in accordance with data protection legislation and financial good practice
Qualifications
- Proven working experience as a Account Manager / Key Account / Fundraising Donor Manager or similar roles (B2B) - at least 2 years relevant working experience
- Proven track record of building high value relationships and/or developing accounts and/or customer success
- Market knowledge B2B
- Knowledgeable in database systems and the creation and use of spreadsheets and related tools
- Skilled and confident in building interpersonal relationships
- Must be comfortable interacting with external members and high-profile donors
- Reliable and an exceptional communicator
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience working within a team to achieve a shared objective
- Ability to achieve monthly goals and stay motivated
- Ability to follow a structured approach to account/donor management
- Availability for national business trips (visit business partners)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Time management and planning skills
- High degree of responsibility, persistence, flexibility and proactivity
- High level of work ethics and honesty
Job Specifications
